Description:
The responsibilities of the Homecare Carer position at Professionals Care For You consist of helping clients with their personal and household needs so that they can continue living in the comfort of their own home. The main objective is to encourage independence and improve the lives of all the clients in our care.
Shift Schedule
Our home care workers at Professionals Care for You operate on a rotating schedule to ensure care and support are available 24 hours a day. The schedules rotate through 2 shifts each day for a total of 14 shifts each week.
Morning Shift:
- Time: 7:00 to 14:00
- Duties: Assisting clients with personal and household tasks in the early part of the day.
- Additional Tasks: Helping with preparing meals, keeping track of medications, and going through everyday tasks.
Evening Shift:
- Time: 15:30 to 22:00
- Duties: Offering clients personal and household assistance during the evening hours.
- Additional Tasks: Helping with evening routines, providing friendship, and making sure the client is comfortable.
Flexibility:
- Sometimes it may be necessary to provide care outside of these shifts, such as overnight care or extra support to meet the needs of the client.
- Carers must be ready to adjust to changes in schedules and ensure that care is provided whenever needed for the well-being of the person in our care.
Our Clients:
The individuals who use our services are adults and elderly who could have various requirements, ranging from physical disabilities to age-related illnesses. At Professionals Care For You Limited, we prioritize the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients, and our Homecare Carers play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support throughout the day and night.
Overall Responsibilities:
Deliver personal care support based on the unique requirements of each client.
Carry out necessary tasks in the home to help the client with their everyday life.
Independently perform tasks to meet the client’s requirements and to guarantee their safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate records of the care that has been given and any observations that have been made.
Adhere to standard protocols and procedures in order to maintain clients’ safety and comfort.
Follow a flexible schedule according to a 2-week rota, which includes every other weekend and some evenings.
Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective communication.
- Good written communication skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to travel to and work in various locations around Norfolk.
- Capacity to work independently and unsupervised in a client’s home.
- Flexible attitude towards work shifts and scheduling.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Friendly, positive, and outgoing personality.
- Compassionate, reliable, punctual, and organised.
Salary and Benefits:
From £11.44 per hour on weekdays
Additional options for salary or guaranteed hours.

Experience:
We prefer applicants who have prior care experience but it is not a requirement for applying. If you are a new entrant into the care industry, we would provide you with a comprehensive induction and work shadowing program. This program would be tailored to your specific needs and would help you to become effective from day one as you start your journey with us–in serving our most in-need and vulnerable who rely on care professionals like us.
